Putting a Human Touch on Technology

The Result

Owl Eye immediately saw an opportunity to take Callisto’s powerful branding elements and bring them to life in engaging animations.

For the explainer videos, we felt a more creative approach was to reframe the standard tech demo. By doing this, the videos focused less on the technology itself and more about the student who would be using it.

We turned each video into a list of top five facts that talked about the technology through the lens of the student experience. In doing that, we gave the student a personal connection with the technology.

The added bonus with this format was that each fact could easily be broken off into short social media videos, giving the client more content than they expected.

For the Who We Are video, we felt the most compelling way to tell the story of Callisto was through the perspective of survivors of sexual assault.

By pairing their voices with animation, we were able to maintain their privacy while still creating an emotionally engaging video.

Similar to the explainers, we also created this video in such a way that segments could easily be broken off into short social media videos.

The Ask

Callisto is a nonprofit organization focused on eliminating sexual assault on college campuses. When they approached Owl Eye, they were gearing up for a fall launch on multiple new campuses and knew video was the most effective way to reach students.

In total, they wanted three videos: a Who We Are overview of the organization and two explainer videos for their technology. Due to the nature of their work surrounding sexual assault, privacy and sensitivity were paramount.

The challenge presented to Owl Eye was how to create informative, yet thoughtful video content, that protected the privacy of Callisto’s users while also providing an engaging look at the organization and the critical services they provide.

No matter the client- whether it be technology, a nonprofit or in the case of Callisto, a blend- we will always ensure your video content engages with who you’re speaking to .

You could say it’s the Owl Eye way.
