Keeping Communities Connected

The Ask

We were thrilled to recently partner with Dream Catch Consulting in creating a video for Santa Cruz grassroots organization Cradle to Career.

Providing vital services to families, Cradle to Career’s mission has become even more critical to the community during COVID-19. Our new clients came to us with a strong sense of who they are, the people they represent and their efforts during the COVID crisis, but were looking for guidance in how to best reflect that in a video. Additionally, as is often the case these days, they needed to get this video out to the community STAT.

So how did Owl Eye tackle this?

The Solution

Approaching videos with a clear content strategy is how Owl Eye is able to deliver engaging videos that get results on a tight timeline. That’s the true secret to our sauce.

From inception to completion, we were able to deliver the COVID-19 response video in just under a few weeks using three key ingredients:

  • conducting a virtual shoot

  • using existing assets

  • incorporating motion graphic animation

Though our clients had a lot of pieces to the puzzle, we needed the virtual shoot to provide a strong narrative thread. Once we captured that, we created a motion graphics template to give the piece a polished look. The animation functioned as a great way to make use of existing assets, incorporate Cradle to Career branding and breathe life and personality into this video.
